Volunteers prepare Refugee Welcome Boxes with supplies for the kitchen bathroom and bedroom, and they lay in a full week's supply of groceries. They collect donated items, locate housing, furnish and decorate in advance of arrival, greet refugee families at the airport, provide transport to appointments or job interviews and provide English tutoring.
Refugees are expected to quickly become contributing members of society. Self-sufficiency and welfare avoidance are goals.
