Catholic Charities operates four Emergency Assistance Centers that help individuals and families with basic survivial needs to prevent homelessness and utility shut-off as well as providing food and clothing. Case managers provide short term interventions with resources and referrals to accomplish identified family goals. The Emergency Assistance Centers help direct people toward long-term, workable solutions that return them to self-sufficiency.

Services available may include:

  • Food pantry for those in need
  • Utility payment when loss of service is imminent
  • Gasoline for emergencies or work transportation
  • Rent or deposit payment to landlords to prevent homelessness
  • Medical prescription assistance
  • Transitional housing for homeless
  • Other services on a case by case when needed for household stability
