Once only a child care center, St. Benedict’s has transformed into a high quality early childhood education center that provides care and education to infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school-age children. The Center has an enhanced curriculum with age-appropriate equipment, a bilingual director and staff with the qualifications and credentials required for an accredited early education learning center.
The transition to an early education center has been to better prepare these at-risk students for the future. The goal is for every child to be prepared to succeed when they enter elementary school.
St. Benedict’s primarily serves children of low income families, teen moms and children with special needs. Most receive subsidies through Head Start, Early Head Start or Medicaid.
St. Benedict’s is a licensed childcare facility by the State of Kansas and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children; it has four out of five stars from the Kansas Quality Rating System.
