Health Intervention for Newborns serves infants who need professional skilled nursing care due to health complications or other disadvantages. These services allow mother and baby to receive care in the comfort and privacy of their home. Nursing is provided under the direction of a physician, and families become better educated on how to best care for their new baby. This program is medically-based and services are provided upon a physician's orders.
Health Intervention for Newborns program services include:
- Physical assessments
- Parenting instruction
- Growth and development assessments
- Medication instruction
- Wound care
- Nutrition evaluation and education
- Social services

Most services are covered by Medicaid or private insurance. Catholic Community Healthcare will help facilitate coverage through the patient's insurance company. Patients do not process complicated paperwork or bills. No patient will be turned away for lack of insurance or inability to pay.
