The generous people who support Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas are so important to the mission of offering hope to those most in need. All gifts are tax-deductible and support Catholic Charities’ programs and services. Catholic Charities provides confirmation of gifts for tax purposes.
There are several easy ways to give a gift to those in need:
Donate food items and coupons to Emergency Assistance Centers
Catholic Charities' food pantries are in need of donated food items year-round. Donors may contact the food pantries to find out which items are needed at the particular time or bring the following items at anytime. Emergency Assistance Centers also accept clipped coupons for food items and toiletries. Please click here to see Catholic Charities' food pantries locations and contact information.
Accepted food items include:
Canned and Jar Foods: Vegetables, Soup, Fruit, Peanute Butter, Beans, Tuna, Chili, Jelly
Boxed and Bagged Foods: Cereal, Crackers, Mac and Cheese, Flour, Pasta, Pancake Mix, Rice, Sugar
Give a gift now electronically
Use Catholic Charities' secure server to make a gift instantly with a credit card. Donors have the option to make a gift in honor of or in memory of someone. The donated gift will quickly be put into action serving those in need.
Give a gift each month
Make a monthly pledge to help those less fortunate. The pledge starts (and ends) at the donor’s convenience, including the day of the month that the contribution is charged.

Donate clothing, furniture or appliances
Catholic Charities accepts a wide variety of gently used items including clothing, furnirure, small household appliances and much more. Donations may be used in three ways:
Items in good condition may be recycled directly to needy families of all faiths.
Surplus items may be sold through TurnStyles, the Catholic Charities Thrift Store, located at 87th and Farley in Overland Park. Thrift store revenue Catholic Charities' programs and services.
Other items may be sold at auction or salvaged, with proceeds providing support to Catholic Charities.

Those needing assistance in donating large items may contact TurnStyles for a pick-up – a $50 donation is suggested for pick-ups to defray expenses.
Legacy Society — Planned Giving
Please consider including a gift to Catholic Charities Foundation of Northeast Kansas in an estate plan. Support received through wills, trust, retirement plan assets and insurance policies helps ensure that Catholic Charities' programs and services are available to those in need for years to come. Those who plan on giving Catholic Charities such a gift are invited to join the Legacy Society.

Donate a used vehicle
Catholic Charities accepts unwanted vehicles including cars, motorcycles, boats and RVs that are in good condition. These vehicles will provide funding to support the needy in the community. Please visit the Cars for Kids website below for more information.
The vehicle donation program is administered by Insurance Auto Auctions, a non-profit organization. Call them toll free, at 1.800.456.5517, or visit their website using the link below. They will explain what is required to transfer the title, and make arrangements to pick up the vehicle. Vehicle donations may be claimed as charitable contributions for tax purposes.
